Welcome to Smith Mountain Farm & Stables, LLC "A place to catch up with yourself, family and friends" We are motorcycle owners and ride the lake circuit every chance we get. While riding up in Smith Mountain be prepared for some real nice curves and beautiful scenery. As you wind yourself around the lake we'll recommend some spots to visit with fantastic views of Smith Mountain and the lake. For those old enough to remember where this saying came from we use it for those motorycle owners who experience the ride around the lake: "Going down that long lonesome highway, going to live life my way" So having said that here is our recommended vacation experience for those who have their own "Iron Horse". Rent our cabin and hit the trail on horseback with us. Then hop on your motorcycle and take a scenic ride around the lake. Plenty of places to stop and explore along the route. Along the way you may want to stop and enjoy the Smith Mountain Dam visitors center or charter a fishing trip or rent a boat on the lake or stop at one of the many eateries around the lake. For those that love Southern Barbecue we recommend a trip to the Checkered Pig Resturant. One of the finest barbecue places around!
